  2. Enter the quantity of categories you are entering for just this one item
    The quantity is not the number of items you are entering. It is the number of categories entered for this item.

  3. Click Add to Cart

  4. Complete the pop-up form for this item you are entering, choosing the quantity of categories in your cart.

  5. Be sure to complete all required fields.

    • If you are entering another item/format, you will repeat this process. The fee to enter is per category.

  6. Pay the fee and submit the entry.

Be sure to save your receipt. Each item submitted must include a copy of your receipt.

CONTEST RULES

✔️ Each entry is required to be submitted through the entry form with fee per category paid.

✔️ A single title may be entered in multiple categories. 

✔️ A separate form must be completed for each item format that you submit, but the same form can be used if entry is entered into multiple categories.

✔️ Once your entry has been submitted, email MP3 or MP4 file and a copy of the entry email confirmation to contests@storymonsters.com with “Studio Story Monsters® Media Contest” in the subject line.

CONTEST DEADLINES

Early Bird Deadline: January 1, 2027
Final Deadline: February 1, 2027

📽️ Stage and Theatrical Production
$70 per category on or before January 1, 2027.
$75 per category after January 1, 2027.

🎶 Music and Sound
$70 per category on or before January 1, 2027.
‍ ‍$75 per category after January 1, 2027.

Awards are presented only to entries earning the appropriate amount of judge’s points for First Place, Second Place, and Honorable Mention. There may be multiple winners in each category.

Each winning production is listed on the Story Monsters Awards website and receives a digital personalized certificate and award seal.

First Place:
All first-place contest winners of all categories will be eligible to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one (1) $100 cash prize.

Grand Prize:
One media contest winner will be chosen from all combined Media entries. The grand prize winner receives a $500 cash prize, 100 Grand Prize award seals, a feature on the Story Monsters Book Awards home page, and a one-hour marketing consulting session with Linda F. Radke.

ENTER THE CONTEST

The Studio Story Monsters® Media Awards contest is open to music and theatrical productions published or produced in any calendar year, in any country, provided they are written or performed in English. As long as these criteria are met, we welcome submissions from musicians, composers, lyricists, playwrights, producers, and theatrical creators worldwide.

Each category is designed to celebrate creativity, production quality, and meaningful engagement with young audiences, providing well-deserved recognition for exceptional artistic achievement.

Earning this distunguished Media Award offers content creators immediate credibility, expanded media recognition, and powerful promotional opportunities to increase visibility and audience reach.

Entrants must be the rights holder or have secured proper permission to submit the production into the contest.
